Belleville Police have released the name of the female cyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Dundas Street West near the intersection of Avonlough Road on Thursday.
Police have identified the cyclist as 40-year-old Melissa McGiffin.
McGiffin was treated at the scene, but passed away at Belleville General Hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.
An investigation into the incident was launched involving members from the Belleville Police Traffic Safety Unit and the Belleville Police Forensic Identification Unit.
Police say no charges are expected at this time.
