Belleville police responded to 69 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on September 10, 2024 to 5 a.m. on September 11, 2024.
Breach of Probation
On September 11, 2024 at 1:56 a.m., Belleville police received a call to a residence in the city’s north end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female who advised that she was having an argument with her boyfriend over the phone. Police were suspicious of the information and concerned for the wellbeing of the female. Police continued their investigation and discovered her 46-year-old boyfriend from Belleville hiding inside the residence. The male was on conditions not to communicate with the female. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged the male with breaching his probation. He was released on an undertaking with a court date in October. Police will not be releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the female.
