Lower Trent Conservation has announced that plans are underway for the demolition and rebuilding of the Procter Park Pavilion.
The pavilion has been up since 1978 and has served as a gathering space hosting family picnics, celebrations, and local events.
A structural assessment earlier this year recommended that the pavilion be torn down.
Demolition of the pavilion is set to begin on September 30, 2024.
The Conservation Authority says once the new pavilion is built, it will provide an accessible and renewed gathering space to Proctor Park.
