Quinte West council approved a revised housing action plan, as part of their bid for second round funding from the Housing Accelerator Fund.
During Wednesday’s council meeting, council received a report on the revised plan. The new plan swaps out previously proposed secondary growth plans with a housing community improvement plan, which was discussed earlier in the meeting, and merges the proposed Municipal Land Review process with the College Street Affordable Housing project.
These changes are being made as part of the re-submission process to the fund, in an effort to improve the proposal.
The second round of Housing Accelerator Fund grants has been made open only to municipalities who failed in a bid during the first round of funding. Quinte West had applied for funding during the first round but was ultimately rejected.
The revised plan was approved without debate.
