Ten days ago Belleville native Nick Cousins brought home the Stanley Cup as a member of the champion Florida Panthers.
Next year he hopes to do it again as a member of the Ottawa Senators.
The 31-year-old Cousins left the ranks of unrestricted free agency to sign a one-year $800,000 deal with Ottawa.
Cousins has played 592 games in his NHL career which began with the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2014-15 season as well as 63 in the playoffs.
He has also played with Arizona, Montreal, Vegas and Nashville followed by the last two seasons with the Panthers.
