Belleville police responded to 60 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on August 27, 2024 to 5 a.m. on August 28, 2024.
Single motor vehicle collision – driver failed to remain
On August 27, 2024 at 7:39 a.m., Belleville police responded to a single motor vehicle collision near the intersection on Mudcat Rd and Phillipston Rd. Sometime overnight, a 2003 four-door maroon-coloured Pontiac failed to stop at the stop sign on Mudcat Rd and left the roadway entering into a field where it came to rest. Police, including the Belleville Police K9 Unit searched the area for the driver with negative results. Police are continuing the investigation.
