It was a trespassing call, but it escalated quickly.
On Thursday afternoon, Bancroft OPP responded to the report of a vehicle trespassing on private property.
The home owner says as they went to investigate why the vehicle was there, the motorist drove towards the owner, before fleeing the scene.
Police stopped the driver, who refused to comply with an officer’s request for the use of an Approved Screening Device.
As police awaited a tow truck, the driver was accused of assaulting police.
Thirty-year-old Jonathan Rallison of Bancroft has been charged.
