Prince Edward County OPP have laid impaired driving charges in connection with a collision Tuesday night in Prince Edward County.
Police responded to a collision on Highway 62 around 9:45 p.m.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of 30-year-old Usman Ashfaq of Scarborough on charges of:
Operation while impaired
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 11, 2024.
They also had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
