A quick response to a home on fire from Quinte West firefighters overnight likely kept damage to a minimum.
Deputy Fire Chief Rick Caddick says crews from Station 3 were called to 1087 Old Highway 2 in the Bayside area around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
The flames were quickly brought under control and contained to the kitchen where the fire started.
Everyone in the home got out safely.
Damage is estimated somewhere between $60,000 and $75,000.
