The Bain Excavating Rockies begin their bid for a fifth consecutive championship when the South Hastings Baseball League playoffs begin Monday night.
The Rockies finished first in the regular season with a 14-1 record and will open a best of 3 series at 6:15 against the Buxton Monarchs.
That game will be followed with the Read McGiunness Water Solutions Young Guns facing the Melrose Farrell Excavating Shamrocks.
The other two series begin Tuesday.
All games will be played in Melrose.

Meanwhile A.J. Burlington of the Bain Excavating Rockies was named the MVP of the South Hastings Baseball League.
The Rockies Joe Blakely is the Pitcher of the Year.
