From August 24 to September 15, the Templeman Aquatic Centre at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will be closed for its annual maintenance.
The City of Belleville says in a press release that during that time, there will be required maintenance as well as a thorough cleaning of all the pool areas including the pool basins, pool deck, windows, ledges, change rooms, office and storage room spaces.
Periodic closures of the pool change rooms will also take place while work is being done.
The city says closures will be rotated so that those who use the fitness rooms continue to have access to shower facilities.
Those looking for an alternative can head to the Kinsmen Outdoor Community Pool, located at 151 Dundas St. East, as they will be hosting the last swims of the season on September 2. Pre-registration is required.
Other spots include the city’s splash pads at West Riverside, Selma Bochnek Splash Pad at Parkdale Veteran’s Park and Kinsmen Park will continue to be open for daily use through Labour Day and then open on weekends until Thanksgiving.
More information can be found at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre’s website.
