The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) assisted Northumberland OPP arrest an Oshawa man in connection with a sexual assault in Brighton.
The assault, which occurred at an address on County Road 2 was reported to police on July 23.
The victim and the accused were known to each other.
A warrant was issued for the accused.
On Sunday, the CBSA notified Northumberland OPP that the accused had arrived at an international airport and was taken into custody.
A 31-year-old man, who will not be identified to protect the identity of the victim, has been charged with sexual assault.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
