The Northern Tornadoes Project has confirmed four waterspouts in Ontario on August 10 and 11, two of them over Lake Ontario in the Brighton area.
Two water tornadoes were reported on the lake south of Brighton around 10 a.m. Saturday with a witness capturing photos of the event.
Waterspouts were also confirmed on the St. Lawrence River around Gananoque on Saturday and over Lake Nipissing near North Bay on Sunday.
The waterspouts have all been assigned an EF0-Default rating as they did not appear to make landfall and caused no damage.
Northern Tornadoes Project continues to investigate further reports of potential waterspouts.
