Belleville council is being asked to continue modernizing its public transit fleet.
At its meeting later today council will decide on the purchase of three twelve-metre hybrid transit buses at a cost of around $4 million. Belleville Transit already has one hybrid bus on the road.
Council is also being asked to approve an amendment to last year’s capital budget to allow the purchase of a new mobility bus.
All costs will be covered by federal or provincial grants.
