A teenager is facing several charges after a family dispute spiralled out of control Thursday night.
Belleville police were called to a disturbance at a housing complex on North Park Street shortly before 11 p.m. where a youth was reportedly wandering inside and out of his home, screaming and smashing items.
At one point during the altercation, police say the male armed himself with several large kitchen knives and threatened multiple people.
The 17-year-old was quickly placed under arrest once police arrived.
He has been held for a bail hearing on charges including threats, weapons dangerous and mischief.
