A GoFundMe page has been organized for a Picton man who drowned at Point Petre over the long weekend.
According to various social media posts, 35-year-old James Badgley lost his life trying to save a young person’s life.
OPP have not confirmed that information but did report several people were in the water at the time.
Described as a “hero” by many on social media Badgley was awarded a Medal of Bravery in 2017 for saving a man from a burning home in Belleville in 2015.
