A public information meeting regarding a proposed development in Picton will be held later this month.
Homes First Development Corporation will host the information session about a development proposal at Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street on Wednesday, August 28 at 6 p.m. at Picton Town Hall (2 Ross Street).
Most of the proposed development is situated on an irregularly-shaped site located southwest of the intersection of Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street in Picton with a smaller, triangular-shaped portion of the site located on the north side of Cumberland Street.

The proposed development would consist of a medium-density rental housing project with unit types ranging from one to three bedrooms.
A townhouse block and semi-detached buildings would front onto Nicholas Street and a low-rise apartment building is also proposed and would be accessed from Nicholas Street.
The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
