The Central Lakes Association of Realtors (CLAR) has released a report on July sales, prices, and listings for the region.
In Belleville there were 69 sales of residential units of all types in July, about the same as in June. The average price was $493,000, down from $512,000 the month before.
In Quinte West the number of sales soared last month to 60, up from just 32 in June. The average price was $600,000, up from June’s $557,000.
In Prince Edward County 29 units were sold in July, about the same as in June. The average price was $839,000, up from $760,000 the month before.
And in Brighton 19 residences were sold at an average price of $653,000. That was down from $685,000 in June.
CLAR President Vicki Sweeney says overall the market is showing that buyers are waiting for further interest rate cuts.
