More foundations have to be built in Belleville if the city is to hit its housing starts target for this year.
With close to half of the year gone there have been 111 housing starts.
That is 43% of Belleville’s target of 258 starts.
The numbers are from the province’s online housing starts tracker, last updated June 12.
So far this year Belleville is one of the top performers when it comes to housing starts when compared to other municipalities with targets.
Last year, the city received $1.24 million from the province after reaching 111% of its target of 268 starts.
