Mother Nature has really hit the Quinte region.
According to the weather office at CFB Trenton, 38 millimetres of rain fell Wednesday morning.
Officials indicate a large amount of that fell between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
It caused flooding in low-lying areas, including Sidney Street in Trenton under the CPKC rail bridge and the CN rail underpass on Cannifton Road, between College and Station streets.
The rain was not even close to a precipitation record.
In the year 2000, 69.8 millimetres fell, close to three inches.
