Belleville police responded to a harassment complaint in the east end of the city on Tuesday.
Officers responded to a complaint regarding continued unwanted contact by a former spouse at around 11:30 a.m.
An investigation revealed that the suspect was wanted on two outstanding warrants for multiple counts of harassment and failing to comply with a release order towards his former partner.
Police continued the investigation and located and arrested the suspect at a north end motel around 6 p.m. that same day.
A 69-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the warrants and received two additional counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The man was held for a bail hearing.
