Two Quinte Legion Lynx Track Club members captured gold medals at high profile meets in Ontario and Connecticut this weekend.
In New Britain, Connecticut, Aidan Crawford of Eastside Secondary School captured gold in the high school boys discus at the Central Connecticut State University’s Blue Devils Throws Championship. Crawford set a meet record by launching the discus 51.93m.
Bayside Secondary School student Joshua Thomas captured gold in the boys high jump at the Athletics Ontario U18 Championships in Brampton with a personal best leap of 1.95m.
Crawford, Thomas, and Sydney Johnson (NCC) are heading to Calgary for the U18 Legion National Championships August 9-11.
