Work is taking place outside of Prince Charles School in Belleville.
The Hastings Prince Edward District School Board tells Quinte News that work is being done outside of the building for three different reasons.
These include adding a parent pick-up/drop-off area on Yeomans Street to alleviate traffic and improve safety on school property, regrading the playground and asphalt renewal for a new basketball area, and drainage improvements for the grounds.
Work on the playground is expected to be completed before the new school year starts.
The rest of the work is expected to be completed in September.
