Belleville native Shaw Boomhower has signed with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL.
The 25-year-old Boomhower appeared in just 10 games and recorded one assist last season with the Wheeling Nailers before suffering a season-ending injury.
Overall, in 95 ECHL games with Cincinnati, Kalamazoo and Wheeling, he has 28 points (12g-16a) and 332 penalty minutes. Boomhower also played in two games with the Rochester Americans of the AHL.
Boomhower is a graduate of the Quinte Red Devils, Picton Pirates and Wellington Dukes.
Adirondack is the ECHL affiliate of the AHL’s Utica Comets and NHL New Jersey Devils.
