Belleville police arrested a 62-year-old man after someone was wandering along Baldwin Street looking into windows and trying to get inside some of the residences.
Residents of the neighbourhood called police around 7 p.m. Monday and police responded and located an obviously intoxicated man.
He told officers he was simply looking for his girlfriend.
He was charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and held for a bail hearing.
