Empire Rockfest not only provided some great entertainment on the weekend, but raised some money for Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings.
The Rockfest 50/50 draw raised more than $4,200 with half going to Habitat for upcoming projects and the other half to a lucky winner.
Habitat volunteers were selling tickets at all three Rockfest shows.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in our 50/50 draw at this year’s Empire Rockfest,” said Hazzem Koudsi, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings. “The funds raised will go a long way in helping us provide safe, affordable homeownership opportunities for hardworking families in our community. We couldn’t have done it without the support of Rockfest attendees, our dedicated volunteers, and Mark Rashotte for making us his charity of choice this year.”
