The Belleville Lawn Bowling Club has announced it will be hosting this year’s Ladies Day Lawn Bowling Tournament.
“We are proud to have been chosen as the site for this tournament. The location of the tournament rotates between eastern and western Ontario every two years,” said Glenda Courtice, president of the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club, in a press release.
“We will host 2024 and 2025. This tournament attracts bowlers from Ontario and the U.S. and is an equal amount of fun and very competitive lawn bowling.”
The club says over 80 participants are expected to take part in the tournament.
Three formats will be played during the weekend, including pairs, fours and singles. Winners will then play for the title of bowler of the tournament and have the chance to win a trophy, prize money, and a set of bowls.
The tournament takes place at Hillcrest Community Centre from August 2 to August 4 and is free to attend.
