UPDATE: Highway 401 at County Road 4 has since reopened to traffic.
Lennox and Addington OPP say three people have been injured, including two with serious, life-threatening injuries, following a collision involving two vehicles and a motorcycle on Highway 401 in Loyalist Township.
Officers responded to the scene just before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say one vehicle contained five people. Three of those people suffered injuries, including one with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The lone occupant in the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators are helping with the investigation.
Highway 401 remains closed at County Road 4 with an emergency detour route in place, but is expected to reopen later today.
The collision remains under investigation.
