Transportation Fraud
On July 11, 2024 at 8:21 p.m., Belleville police responded to the area of Sidney Street and Tracey Park Dr. regarding a transportation fraud. A taxi operator called police advising that his customer was refusing to pay the fare. Police attended and spoke to the involved parties. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 46-year-old Leo Hall of Belleville with transportation fraud and failing to comply with his probation order. He was released on an undertaking with a court date in August.
Drive while prohibited and fail to comply with an Undertaking
On July 11, 2024 at 10:55 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Dundas Street West and Applewood Drive. The officer conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued revealing the driver was prohibited from driving. Subsequently, the 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested for driving while prohibited and breaching conditions of his undertaking. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service and held for bail.
