Seven high school students with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board were recognized with the Governor General’s Academic Medal.
The medal is given to students graduating with the highest average from a high school, college or university.
Award recipients are as follows:

- Emily Cohen, North Hastings High School
- Lucas Cameron Louder, Prince Edward Collegiate Institute
- Janelle Ganhao, Trenton High School
- Ripken Shaver, Eastside Secondary School
- Xi (Claire) Wang, Central Hastings School
- Ethan Williams, Centennial Secondary School
