Five people have been charged in a Project Renewal investigation that resulted in the seizure of drugs and firearms.
Members of Project Renewal executed a search warrant at a home in the east end on Wednesday with the help of the Belleville Police K9 Team and Emergency Response Unit.
The following items were seized from the investigation:
- 11.6 grams of Cocaine
- 119 grams of Fentanyl
- 8 Codeine pills
- $980 Canadian currency
- Digital scales
- A 9mm Polymer hand gun that had a magazine containing 17 live rounds
- A sawed-off Savage 12-gauge shotgun
- A taser
- Four cell phones
- An airsoft pistol with magazine
Three people from Belleville, one person from Ajax and one person from Scarborough were charged.
Thirty-two-year old Cheyenne Maracle of Belleville was charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3
- Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm x 2
Forty-two-year-old Jesse Draker of Belleville was charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3
- Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm x 2
- Possession of a firearm contrary to a probation order
- Breach of Probation
Forty-one-year-old Ronald McCloskey of Belleville was charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3

Twenty-three-year-old Adam Yapp of Ajax was charged with:

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2

Twenty-one-year-old Darryl Jeremiah Riley of Scarborough was charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – FentanylA
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine
- Proceeds of crime under $5000
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3
- Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm x 2
All were held for a bail hearing.
