Belleville fire crews were on the scene of a natural gas leak Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m., crews responded to 31 Harris Crescent, which is just off Tracey Street, beside George Vanier Catholic School.
Deputy Fire Chief Mark Shannon tells Quinte News that workers were digging at a home renovation and hit the gas line to the house.
Shannons says no evacuations were necessary due to the size and the wind direction.
Enbridge shut off the gas to the home and released emergency crews from the scene.
