In response to the heat forecast for this week, the Quinte West cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena will be open daily beginning Monday, July 8 until Sunday, July 14, 2024.
When: Monday, July 8 – Sunday, July 14, 2024, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens, 8 Couch Crescent
The City of Quinte West activates a cooling centre when there are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher.
Splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford.
