It was a weekend to remember for Belleville’s Francis Brennan.
The 16-year-old won seven medals over the weekend at the 2024 Summer Ontario Swimming Championships at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.
Brennan took gold in the 100-metre backstroke, freestyle, 200-metre freestyle, medley, backstroke, and 50-metre freestyle.
For good measure he picked up a silver in the 100-metre butterfly.
Meantime, 15-year-old Hallie Lupton grabbed a bronze medal in the 400-metre medley.
Brennon and Lupton qualified for the 2024 Speedo Canadian Swimming Championships, slated for July 24 to 30 in Toronto.
Both are members of the Belleville Beast Swim Team.
