Friday marked the official opening of the Matthew Staikos Memorial Park in Quinte West.
City of Quinte West officials, including Mayor Jim Harrison, joined the Staikos family for the opening of the park in Appledene Park Estates.
The park features a zipline, a shade shelter, slides, swings and more.
Quinte West Council approved naming the park after the late Matthew Staikos, son of local developer Nick Staikos, in 2022.
The Staikos family contributed $80,000 toward the creation of the park.
