Building activity in Belleville was up in June, though year-to-date numbers still lag far behind 2023.
The city issued 63 permits with a construction value of $10.2 million in June, up from 59 permits worth $5.5 million during the same month last year.
Last month’s permits included four new homes and several conversions from single to multiple-unit dwellings
Permits were also issued for improvements to Loyalist College ($1.2 million) and Redpath Sugar ($1 million).
Year-to-date, there has been $47.8 million worth of construction activity in Belleville while there had been $82.3 million through the end of June 2023.
