The Ottawa Senators have signed Swedish defenceman Filip Roos, American forward Adam Gaudette and Windsor native Hayden Hodgson to one-year, two-way contracts for the 2024-25 season.
The 25-year-old Roos has spent the past two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks organization, splitting time between Chicago and their American Hockey League affiliate in Rockford, Illinois.
Throughout his North American pro career, Roos has three points (two goals, one assist) in 21 NHL games, along with 27 points (five goals, 22 assists) in 98 AHL games.
Gaudette, a 27-year-old from Braintree, Massachusetts is coming off an outstanding 2023-24 American Hockey League season with the Springfield Thunderbirds, where he led the league in goals and set a new Springfield franchise record for goals in a season (44), while also tacking on 27 assists for a total of 71 points.
The 28-year-old Hodgson spent this past season with the Ontario Reign (AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings), where he collected 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) over 49 games. He spent the prior two seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, following three seasons in the ECHL, after an initial pro stop with AHL Cleveland in 2017-18.
