A Prince Edward County man has a court date later this month after he was charged in connection with a disturbance at Base31.
OPP were called to the facility on Kingsley Road just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday where private security staff had restrained an individual.
The police investigation found that an intoxicated male had attempted to walk away from the event.
Security team members, concerned for the individual’s safety, offered to call a taxi, however, the male allegedly became confrontational and assaultive and was restrained.
Fifty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Douglass is charged with assault, assault with intent to resist arrest and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Picton on July 24, 2024.
