When the American Hockey League season ended for the Belleville Senators on May 10, head coach David Bell entered a period of uncertainty as his contract was due to expire at the end of June.
Two weeks ago the parent Ottawa Senators lifted that uncertainty by signing Bell to a two-year contract to continue his work with the B-Sens.
The 47-year-old Bell led Belleville to the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs for the first time in their seven-year history.
In conversation with Quinte Broadcasting Sports Director Jack Miller, Bell said for a period of time he didn’t know if he had a future with the Senators.
