At its meeting on Monday, Belleville city council will be asked to approve the purchase of a piece of property on Airport Parkway to add to the Northeast Industrial Park.
The land at 175 Airport Parkway is currently listed for sale at $599,000.
City staff is recommending setting aside $630,000 to purchase the land with the money to come from the Asset Management Reserve.
That would cover the purchase price and closing costs.
The city is working towards securing more land and servicing it to make it available for potential industrial and commercial investments.
