A 20-year-old graduate of East Northumberland Secondary School in Brighton has a long trip in her future.
Trenton native Halle Woodcock has been selected to play for Canada’s Under 20 Rugby team that will compete next month at the Transatlantic Quad Series.
Woodcock is one of 32 players from across the county selected. She qualified for the national team through her performance during the 2023 Canadian Rugby Championships in British Columbia and at the 2024 U Sports National 7s Championships in Montreal.
Woodcock has worked her way back from ankle surgery in March.
Halle Woodcock is entering her third year at Guelph University where she is majoring in Human Kinetics.
