Michael McFarlane, Rachel Peck and Jared Matthews of the Quinte Bay Gymnastics Club in Belleville have returned from the Canadian National Championships in Gatineau Quebec as gold medal winners.
McFarlane won gold in power tumbling while Matthews finished first in senior men.
Matthews and Peck were winners as members of Team Ontario in power tumbling and acrobatic gymnastics.
Peck added a bronze medal in the senior women’s division.
Quinte Bay’s Kensey Koutroulides placed second in her competition.
Peck, McFarlane, Thompson and coach Katelyn Thompson will be representing Team Canada next month at the Tumbling World Cup in Portugal.
