A woman faces charges after a stolen vehicle was located Tuesday in the west end of Belleville.
City police were alerted shortly after 6 p.m. about a woman driving a vehicle while appearing to be under the influence of drugs.
While the vehicle was stopped a citizen approached and spotted a crack pipe inside it.
The driver drove away, running a red light at Sidney and Bridge streets.
Police received a description of the driver and the vehicle’s licence plate number and spotted it in a driveway nearby. The vehicle had been stolen Monday.
Shortly after, officers found a person matching the driver’s description hiding amongst some trees.
Thirty-three-year-old Angie Nolan of no fixed address was charged with possession of stolen property and driving while suspended.
She has a court date in August.
