A Napanee firefighter has received an Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery.
Firefighter Mackenzie Grosvenor was off duty and visiting a residence in Amherstview last
October when a two-vehicle collision occurred nearby.
One of the vehicles caught fire and Grosvenor rushed to the scene and pulled the driver from the car.
While seriously, injured the driver survived, thanks to the selfless actions of Firefighter Grosvenor.
Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor Edith Dumont presented the medals for firefighter and police bravery at a ceremony at Queen’s Park Monday.
