The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has approved its budget for the 2024-25 school year.
It’s a balanced budget of almost $247 million, up from last year’s $233 million.
Student enrolment is down by 62 students and the number of full-time equivalent staff is lower at 1,738 from 1,750 last school year.
The budget shows a small in-year surplus of $35,000.
