Ontario police watchdog, the Special Investigations Unit, has released more information about an incident on Enright Road in Tyendinaga Township Saturday morning.
The SIU says OPP responded to a residence after a 911 call at 9:35 a.m. about a man in distress.
Upon arrival, officers tried to communicate with the 66-year-old man and located him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside the residence.
Three investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to the case.
