Arrested for mischief and outstanding warrants
OnJune 12, 2024 at 7 p.m., Belleville police were called to an east end residence regarding a domestic dispute. Officers arrived on scene and learned that during a heated argument, one partner had intentionally smashed the other’s cell phone rendering it inoperable. It was also learned that the male involved had outstanding arrest warrants from the Belleville Police Service for failing to attend court on charges of driving while prohibited and failing to comply with a probation order. As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants and additionally charged with mischief. He was held for a bail hearing.
