A search warrant in Cobourg has led to a large seizure of drugs and six figures in cash.
On Wednesday, Cobourg police searched a home at King and Division streets.
As part of the seizure, officers confiscated almost a pound of fentanyl, along with cocaine, meth, and pills.
Police also seized more than 9,000 illegal cigarettes, weapons, and more than $103,000.
The estimated street value of drugs and cigarettes is almost $184,000.
As a result of the investigation, Dominico Gallo (64) of Cobourg was charged with the following:
1. Four Counts of Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than
heroin)2. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
3. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
4. Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000
5. Trafficking in contraband tobacco
6. Sell unmarked fine cut tobacco
7. Possess unmarked fine cut tobacco
8. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
9. Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
10. Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
11. Possession of ammunition
12. Possession of ammunition knowing its possession is unauthorized
13. Possession of firearm at unauthorized place
14. Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
15. Careless storage of a firearm
