Members of the Bancroft OPP have charged a person following a break and enter investigation.
The break and enter occurred on June 9, 2024 shortly after 3 a.m., at a business on Highway 127 in Lake Peter in the municipality of Hastings Highlands. Items taken were clothing, food, and tools. The investigation resulted in the arrest of one person.
Michael Kinder, 29 years old of Highlands East, has been charged with the following criminal offences:
-Trespassing at night;
-Break, enter a place;
-Mischief under $ 5,000; and
-Theft under $5000.
The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville and remains in custody.
