A candlelight vigil will be held Friday evening to remember a teen who died at Trenton High School last month.
Sixteen-year-old Landyn Ferris, who suffered from Dravet Syndrome, was found unresponsive in a sensory room at the school on May 14.
The community is invited to a memorial that will be held outside the school starting at 8 p.m. Friday, June 14.
Family friend Art Rosenplot, who is helping organize the vigil, says the evening is about celebrating Landyn’s life.
“He was the most influential little boy I’ve ever came across in my life. He was very special and almost a glimmer of light in a very dark place. You know, for a little boy that had every reason in the world to be sad with his ailments and other issues and stuff like that that he’s had. He was the brightest sun that you could possibly imagine.”
Candles will be handed out at the vigil.
Rosenplot thanks the community for supporting Landyn’s mother Brenda Davis in the weeks since his death.
